I am really amazed how inventors and innovators invent different things that we use today, such as car, telephone, cellphone, TV, etc.. But I want to focus on firearms/guns.
It really makes me curious what is the main and first reason why is a firearm made or invented. Did they intentionally make it for killing someone? Or maybe for hunting only? We never know other reasons may have influenced them on creating such instrument.
One good reason maybe is to protect them from the wild and from their enemies. So to protect themselves they are risking to kill someone, i think?
Through time what have become of the firearm? It evolved every now and then to a much deadly and dangerous instruments. So where do people usually use it? We all know that it is rampant when wars arise.
Ironically people nowadays want peace, they want to stop wars and other violent acts such as killing. But people doesn't want to give-up having a gun, right? They still see it as a useful instrument or they want it just to show it off. However, can't you see? to stop wars and other violent acts you should get rid of the instrument that is used for the said actions. As the line in the song Kaleidoscope World says, "you can't talk peace and have a gun". Very true, its the main reason why we can easily kill another person causing only little guilt. Because using a gun as a weapon, a person attacked can die instantly so you won't feel his agony or see him suffer, unlike when you'll stab him, he still can fight back and move then easily go down in pain and see the person slowly die. Most of all you can feel the blade piercing through the persons flesh, isn't that more morbid and it can really affect you more than shooting him from a far range?
Firearms are so deadly that even a kid can kill with it. Even with so much control on the firearms market, it can still be bought easily through illegal dealers. That's why terrorists have the guts to fight back.
So who do you think is worst the dealer who knows that the guns would be used for intentional chaos or the terrorists who make the chaos? Yeah I know both are bad but who is worst, what do you think?
Some people say that guns are only instruments, they wouldn't kill if no one tries to use it to kill. But lets see it in a different view, if there are no guns and this person has the urge to create chaos and kill other people what do you think he would do? Get a knife? bat? etc.. If the main instrument isn't available chaos created by such people is less likely dangerous than with guns in their hands. Right? So the argument that its not the guns fault, its the user's is for me not applicable or not true. Remove the instrument needed for the action and the action cannot be done.
